Repurposed jewelry
by Amy Rose

A look back at something familiar transformed into something new.
Paying close attention to detail, along with the bustle and excitement of creating one of a kind pieces, self taught designer, Amy Rose brought her love of vintage and re-using materials from the past to create Vintage Fuss.

Her life has always been fueled by creativity, with past focuses on oil painting and photography. Originally from Wisconsin, she moved to Boston in 2007 and constantly found herself approached by people about the jewelry she was wearing or the gifts she gave to others. Once, when asked "Did you make that?" she thought, "No, but I could!" and there it all began! She started searching for loose vintage beads, tearing apart old pieces of costume jewelry and purchasing tools to start the process. Encouraged by friends, relatives and even a retailer to make more and NEW things, she thought, "OK, let me see what I can do!" She is constantly
learning, experimenting, and teaching herself as she goes along. Her unexpected combination of old and new materials, primarily vintage beads, lockets, lucite, chains and findings whenever possible, along with the "fuss" she puts into each piece makes her jewelry timeless, nostalgic and one of a kind!
